So… this is one of the biggest categories in the Rap Genre, “Best Rap Song”.
Best Rap Song (A Songwriter(s) Award. Singles or Tracks only.)
- Drake- Best I Ever Had
- Kid Cudi- Day N’ Nite
- T.I. ft. Justin Timberlake- Dead and Gone
- Jay-Z- D.O.A.
- Jay-Z ft. Kanye West & Rihanna- Run This Town
This one however is for songwriters. Thus, it should go to the best writers out of this category. With that said, I don’t think there will be much of a debate with my decision, but I think “Run This Town” will def take the award home in this category. I think this is a well deserved award for Jay-Z, Kanye, and Rihanna. This is one of the better written Hip Hop songs of the year as far as singles are concerned. Plus, the hook is a dreamers theme song!!! What do you think?
