Lately a new name has been appearing on flyers and posters around ATL’s hip-hop hot spots. Who is this? How did he suddenly appear on the scene with such momentum? Not to be confused with the biblical Methuselah, this cat has a fresh yet familiar flow as can be heard on this joint featuring our man DJ Dainja. It’s called “Sleeping Fist”. CHECK IT!

Living every day with a top 5 dead or alive attitude, Methuzulah, formerly known as Mojo Swagger, has done some ghostwriting over time for platinum Hip-Hop artists. He became a member of “THE ZULU NATION AND TEMPLE OF HIP-HOP” and was picked by 50 Cent, Polow Da Don and Common Sense as one of YouTube’s Top 20 indie artists. On stage he has performed with Krs-One, B.O.B., Black Sheep, Raekwon, Wise Intelligent, Dilated Peoples, Skyzoo, Souls of Mischief, Casual, DJ Nabs, DJ Green Lantern and DJ Red Alert… just to name a few. Some of Methuzulah’s recording collaborations have included Illastrate Productions, Raekwon (Wu-tang), Punchlyne, Kam Moye, Alfamega (Grand Hustle), Dynas (ABB Records), Lloyd (Def Jam), Focus (Aftermath), Dj Shakim (So So Def), Mami Montana (Aftermath), Clan Destined (Rawkus 50), Willy Evans Jr. (Rawkus 50), Mr. Probz, Bluntspeakers (Europe), Adrift Da Belle (Dungeon Family) and a lengthy list with at least 50 more artists and producers he has recorded work with. He was also a featured artist on Beat Studies Presents “16 Bars of Gold, Vol.2″ – released late 2009.
Like the previous joint, “Sleeping Fist”, this song called “Metal Mule Kick” was also produced by DJ Premier. The rhyme scheme on this record is like none you have ever heard. Methuzulah takes us on a lyrical trip with this one. Here it is…
