Best Rap/Sung Collaboration

The Lonely Island ft. T-Pain- I’m on a Boat
Now…Ego is a great song from the innuendo in the writing to the classy and bass heavy beat. Plus Kanye’s verse is def one of my favorites from this year. Knock You down is a great example of blending Hip Hop, Pop and R&B to make a hit record! Run This Town is definitely an anthem for me, it’s one of those call to action type of songs, except there is no real cause but to be the best…gotta love it! Dead and Gone I also admire for T.I.’s willingness to show everybody that he has grown from his mistakes and become a smarter and better person. But, the last one is just a joke and I’m not sure why it is in this category so I won’t mention it.
The one thing I noticed in this category is the multiple Kanye nods on these tracks. So…with that said I find it hard not to pick one of the songs with him on it especially because on all three he makes the song. But, you’ve gotta wonder if they will give him one after Interrupting “America’s Sweetheart” at the VMA’s. I don’t give a damn!!! But, you know someone is thinking it. What do you think?

I don’t see why not but it would be great if Taylor could go on stage right when he comes up to win it to interrupt it even if it was a planned Joke.

This whole category is GOTBAGE!! (luda slang for “garbage.”) haha. Sorry, but most of these songs are crap, and this is kind of an artifically created category to salute “collabarations that are done just for the idea of making a quick buck.” SO I ABSTAIN!!
Kanye def took over this category and IMO only the songs with him as a featured artists are real contenders as well SIMP. My Issue with each of these songs though is the female vocalists featured lol. Especially since this catergory is also about chemistry.
Ego: This was a big song for Beyonce and ‘Ye killed it but I dont think this song should win in this catergory. Of course Bey was vocally flawless as always and ‘Ye did his verse justice…I feel like Beyonce doesnt have chemsitry on a track with anyone but Jay ( and randomly Slim Thug …lol) I dont know whats thats about but i guess her team sees that too and thats why the pr machine is going into overdrive as of late ..see collabs w Lady Gaga and A. Keys on their latest efforts. But this didnt cut it for me.
Knock You Down: I think Keri had a hell of a year. Shes bad as hell, can carry a tune ( as long as she sin the studio..smh ) and put out an amazing effort as her first time on the other side of the board. But this song lacked believable chemistry. I never beleive Ne-Yo when hes singing about women so I could never believe him singing too one either. lmao and as u said ‘Ye killed it again and made the song for me. Big song but dont believe you lol
Run This Town: AMAZING. CHEMISTRY CRAZY! TRACK CRAZY! VIDEO CRAZY! However, I hate the fact that Rihanna will always win grammys bc of this catergory. smh This is one of those songs any artist or aspiring artist or artist in their mind dreams about.
Dead and Gone: However, this could be the upset. Solid Effort with an important msg for youth today..plus its been TI’s year of revamping his image and I think he deserves recognition for that. Plus the grammys seem to liek a good back story that pulls heart strings. ( ie: Jennier Hudsons Best R and B win last year) Plus the grammys favorite Great White Hype JT is on the track so…this one may be a contender.
