Be Thankful For What U Have!!!

2010 made of sparks and fireworks

So…the New year is approaching in about 7 hours and I find myself reflecting on how far I’ve come in a year.  Music started for me in the 6th grade with a Marble Composition Notebook in my homebase period at Mattawoman Middle School.  Even before then, at the age of 6, I carried a Fisher Price Walk-Man with tapes of LL Cool J, Kid N’ Play and Vanilla Ice (shhhh…don’t tell anyone).

This year I have performed at SUAF (Savannah Urban Arts Festival) with Grammy Winning artist Anthony David and graced the stage with many underground legends and newcomers from 4-Ize and Senor Kaos to Holly Weird and Stanza. I have been blessed to be able to give back to the community through our Hip Hop 101 class and now I’m voting on The Grammy’s!!!

Reflecting on these things you can’t help, but see that most of the events that happen throughout your life you have no control over. All you can do is be the best you you can be and the rest falls into place (somehow).

Sometimes we find ourselves so focused on what we don’t have that we never take the time to appreciate the things we do. This year i will be a lot more aware and grateful for those things.

This video is a true reminder of how to be thankful!!! Take the time out today to just be thankful… and laugh a little too!!!

Merry Christmas!!! from Beat Studies

It is days like these that we should take the time to reflect on the presents that we’ve been giving in life. Yes…Christmas is a time of giving, but all year we have been given gifts that we should be thankful for and rejoice in (i.e. friends and family).

So…to all of our friends, family, supporters and fans we say Merry Christmas. You are all PRICELESS gifts!

Luv,

Beat Studies
