Here it is folks, the official MC list for the most anticipated mixtape of the year. The group is extremely diverse in terms of background and style, but there is at least one thing they all have in common on this follow-up to last year’s release: Talent. In the words of one of our featured artists, Senor Kaos, “Swagger is nothing, talent is everything”. We tried to keep that in mind as we invited over 30 of Atlanta’s finest MCs to bless the wax pressed beats dropped live in the studio by the very talented, DJ Dainja. The master is finished, the cds are in duplication, and the anticipation is building.
The continuing concept of this mixtape is as follows: Combining the old definition of a mixtape (live DJ mixing) with the new idea (MC’s spitting over various beats). “16 Bars of Gold.” After all, the 16 bar verse… is the measure of every MC’s worth.
Here is the official list of lyrical artists that will be featured on 16 Bars of Gold Vol. 2…
Mojo Swagger, Manchild, 4-ize, Senor Kaos, StaHHr, Flux and Killa Kalm of Binkis Recs, SIMP, Q-San, Kel and Jay Quest of Alpha Noise, Ekundayo, Tribe 1 and Adan of The Remnant, Boog Brown, Mic Masters, Punchlyne, Dillon, Joe Billz, Tommy Lee Soul, Adrift Da Belle, Pro Wonder, Ozy Reigns, Jarren Benton, Jackzilla, Rita J, Kato, Sen. Bret Boogie, Arablak, Khalid Nile and Skinny-C
Stay tuned for details on the fall release date and accompanying party. It has been a pleasure once again working with such fine talent. Let’s keep the A’s underground momentum going. I feel a strong resurgence coming on.
