Boog Brown spits FIRE!

We were graced in the studio by the presence of one of Atlanta’s hottest artists as she tracked her tough as nails contribution to “16 bars of gold?  It was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde as this compassionate conversationalist stepped into the booth.  She came so incredibly hard on that verse, that I had to re-adjust my seating position.  Then after she tore the mic to shreds with her razor sharp lyrics, she sweetly turned to me and asked “can we hear that back please?”.  Her well rehearsed verse was a keeper after one take and we spent the rest of the session talking about the ATL music scene and her upcoming cd release Ms. Black America.  This release is due out in late July and I will be first in line for a copy, especially since it features production from illastrate,  14KT, and Lex Boogie and rhymes from Clan Destined, Flux (Binkis Recs) and Mojo Swagger.

The solstice has me feeling the heat.  Peep this classic track featuring SIMP and AWOL from Chicago on the beat.   This was on “Bring Back Real Music” that came out last year.  I just need to bust it out when it gets above 90 degrees.
